Reports say it could be pushed out next week
As a few of you might know, Instagram has been hiding likes from the public for months now, selecting specific countries every so often for testing. In this moment in time, seven countries have already been selected for testing. This includes Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand.
What this means is that in the near future, or maybe even as you’re reading this, you might not be able to see the number of likes on other user’s posts. Of course you can still see your own like count however on other people’s posts you will just see who has liked it, not how many people have liked it.
And whether you like this change or not, whether you agree or disagree, it’s being pushed out to more countries and the United State’s time is coming up and according to the CEO of Instagram Adam Mosseri, this change will be pushed next week.
